For NADA Cologne 2013, The International 3 brings together the work of Andrew McDonald and Pat Flynn. Combining animation, sculpture and digital generated images, this curated booth presentation coheres around the themes of mortality, vanity, seduction and desire.
PAT FLYNN, (Born 1972, U.K. lives and works in Manchester). He regularly exhibits nationally and internationally. Recent solo and group exhibitions include, Digital Aesthetic³, Harris Museum and Art Gallery (Preston), Cold Children at The International 3, (Manchester), False Mirrors, Marcus Winter Gallery(Berlin), Draw Me A Castle, Chapter, (Cardiff) and Sounds of Earth, Marion Scharmann (Cologne). His work is owned by both public and private collections in the U.K. and Europe
ANDREW McDONALD (Born 1963, U.K. Lives and works in Manchester). Andrew McDonald exhibited as part of British Art Show 6. His recent solo and group exhibitions include, Unspecific Objects at The Royal Standard, (Liverpool), Creekside Open, (London), Once Upon a Time There Was A Story That Began Once Upon a Time at Marion Scharmann (Cologne) and To Be A Coward at The International 3 (Manchester). His most recent solo show, ‘All That Comes Between Us’, is at Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool.
The International 3 is an exhibition and project space located in Manchester U.K.. With emerging and established artists, independent curators, galleries and organisations we produce a year round programme of new commissions, solo shows, group exhibitions and events. We also work with a core group of artists, exhibiting and selling their work and brokering exhibition and private commission opportunities. The International 3 is also the curatorial co-ordinator for The Manchester Contemporary art-fair. The International 3 is a not for profit company run by directors Paulette Terry Brien and Laurence Lane.
