From February – June 2013, in partnership with Contemporary Art Society North and supported by Arts Council of England; The International 3 has been leading an art-market mentoring and knowledge transfer project called Market Share. Participants were given the opportunity to undergo a bespoke programme of individual and group learning opportunities designed to enable them to access information and insight into the market for contemporary art. Throughout the 5 month period, Market Share participants have undertaken a range of activities including national and international art-fair research visits, shadowing at commercial galleries, receiving studio visits and mentoring from established artists and commercial gallery directors alongside a group programme of presentations by and meetings with a range of individuals active within the contemporary art market nationally and internationally. Share Market Share is the culminating event of the programme and will comprise of presentations given by the Market Share participants who will share the information gathered and insights achieved as a result of the programme. This will be followed by the opportunity to participate in a series of break-out group discussion groups that will allow for a more in-depth and wide-ranging dialogue relating to the specifics of the presentations and the Market Share Programme or more broadly to the market for contemporary art.

Participation in the event is FREE however, places are limited so please register early as we expect demand to be high.
