We invite you to join us for the 6th in our series of In Conversation events with artists exhibiting at The International 3. Set within the context of Hondartza Fraga’s solo exhibition, Not for Navigation, please join us for an evening of conversation relating to her practice and a last chance opportunity to view the exhibition before it closes on 24th February.

Dr. Teresa Anderson (Director of Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre) and Mary Doyle (co-director Drawing Room, London) will lead the event examining key themes within Hondartza’s work and concluding with an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.

Professor Teresa Anderson is Director of the University of Manchester’s Discovery Centre at Jodrell Bank. She has a first degree in Physics, a PhD in Electrical Engineering and also an MA in Fine Art. The Discovery Centre works to engage the public with the Astrophysics research of Jodrell Bank and, as well as delivering an Education programme and Lecture series etc, works with artists and musicians to explore new ways of interrogating science. The Centre currently welcomes around 165,000 visitors per year. Jodrell Bank also hosts the bluedot festival, which is a weekend-long celebration of science, music, arts and culture.

Mary Doyle is Co-founder and Co-director of the Drawing Room, London. Established in 2002, the Drawing Room explores ideas around contemporary drawing and makes them visible in the public domain. As the leading non-profit gallery in the UK and Europe dedicated to international contemporary drawing, it provides a unique resource for the production and promotion of drawing, its practice, theory and methodology. Mary Doyle has worked in the visual art sector for over 25 years and from 1993-2005 was Senior Curator at the Contemporary Art Society, London.
